Land is central to Aboriginal people. It is the basis of all cultural, economic, social and political activity and many people living on Aboriginal lands, especially in the north-west and west of the State, spend considerable time in ritual business and other cultural and social activities.

In South Australia Aboriginal people hold title to more than 20% of the land area.
